Practical review support for PBM and vendor arrangements

Why Redline Exists

The gap between what was promised and what the contract says

Most plan sponsors sign a PBM or vendor contract and move on. The implementation gets handled, the program goes live, and day-to-day operation takes over. Months or years later, something doesn't look right — a number doesn't reconcile, a guarantee appears to have missed, a report doesn't match the contract language.

At that point, most plan sponsors don't have the internal resources to evaluate what's happening or whether it matters. And most vendors aren't inclined to raise their hand when something isn't working in the client's favor.

Redline exists to close that gap — providing a focused, practical review of the arrangement from the client's side, using the contract as the starting point for every question.

Deep operational knowledge

  • PBM Contract Structures
How PBM contracts are written, where the leverage sits, and where the exclusions tend to live.
  • Pricing & Rebate Mechanics
How pricing is applied operationally — where rounding, accumulation, and definition differences create discrepancies.
  • Performance Guarantee Measurement
How guarantees are structured to be measured, what exclusions look like in practice, and what reported results typically reflect.
  • Implementation & Reporting Systems
How plan changes and implementation decisions affect downstream claims, reporting, and contract compliance.

Mission

What Redline is — and isn't

"The PBM industry is built around complexity. Contracts are long. Definitions matter. Exclusions are real. Most plan sponsors never get a clear answer to basic questions about what they're paying and why — not because the answer doesn't exist, but because no one with the right background is asking the question from their side."
